Evo rally car
Evo rally car
Hi guys, I finally finished this car. It took me almost 4 years. Thanks to Road Race Engineering for putting the car together. I picked the car up last Friday night and went to High Desert Trail Rally in California without any testing. The setup was so nice. It took me like 3 miles to get used to the car. Thanks to Mike Welch and Sam at Raod Race for tuning the car for almost 2 days. I got 260 HP and 360 pounds of torque at the wheels with 34mm restrictor in the turbo. The body was so stiff I cracked the windshield on the first stage. Finally I finished the rally 3rd in 4wd open and 8th overall. Here are some pics. Enjoy

Without the car I spent almost $20,000 including roll cage, 2.4 engine, and suspension.
We are planning to run national with Rally America and NASA most likely next year.
My previous car was a Subaru STI rally car. I did the right thing switching to EVO

Here is a video clip of the car in one of the stages. Skip to the 2.00 minute mark to see it. It is only 1 mile of pavement..than we hit the gravel...
