Forged Performance: NASA Event Coverage @ RD ATL

This past weekend the Forged Performance team went to Road Atlanta to participate in the NASA Track Day. This event consists of High Performance Driving Education, Time Trials and dozens of classes of wheel to wheel racing. This makes for a really great event with a wide variety of cars on the track at any given time. Sharif had our Porsche 996 GT3 out for HPDE4 and was doing his part to give back to other motorsports enthusiasts by instructing and giving ride-alongs all weekend long. His helmet never left his head, and he looked he had just completed a 12hr enduro! I spent my day at some of my favorite spots around Road Atlanta posted up with my camera getting some pretty decent action shots and wanted to stop by and share them with every one.

Hope to see you all at the track again soon.

Upcoming events:

July 1 Road Atlanta with Chin Motorsports
July 11 VIR Full Course Forged Performance/NAGTROC private track day
July 30-31 Road Atlanta Chin Motorsports (we will be debuting our new fullly race prepared GT-R Version 2.0).

Sharif hanging out in the pits.

Chris, one of our Tech's creepin' haha

10-20 Minute storm from Hades. Turned my EZup into a twisted mess.

I heard about the Mustang hood up incedent, but didn't know you got such a nice pic of it!

The pic of my car (Grey Evo 9) is actually me in the passengers seat. Shaun (ReaperX on here) was having fits from his Evo all weekend and since he's an instructor, I told him to take mine out and see what he thought. Unfortunately the Upper IC hose popped off again first lap and he really didn't get much from it. It is still OEM and the heat (It was mad hot Sunday) and age have taken a toll on it.

Thanks for the few pics of my #315 Evo. That was during one of my half throttle taxi cab sessions with a buddy's daughter who is now convinced she wants a track car..... and for it to be an Evo lol. Judging by the body roll in the one pic I think it is time for to upgrade the sway bars soon.

Ya Jim I think the clouds were hanging over me all day lol. Just could not catch a break. Every chance I got to work on the car at the end of the day it was raining buckets. I want to ride with you again, but I think I'll hold off till you get some harnesses in that bad boy

Chadbee could you tell Sharif thank you again for helping me attempt to diagnose my issue. I think it may be my exhaust bumping the t-case or the O2 to DP gasket deciding it had enough and the bolts backing out..... and maybe a bad tank of gas just for fun .
