Oops, Haha I must have been on crack last night.. One of these days I really want to make the trek to Lincoln, but this year has just been change after change getting things figured out on the car. Maybe next year Ill actually make it out there and see if I can win me a trophy.

Now that I'm finally in a car that can be competitive, I really want to get out to the big show!

Depending on the course, it's possible. Alex Jones' "Oreo" is not a slow car and it's gotten a LOT faster this year.
I will be there in an Evo again this year after running in STR most of the season... only difference this time is that I'm in a 380whp, 2600lb, slick-shod FP Evo 9. I'm praying for rain because that's probably the only chance I have against John Thomas.

Why is the FP Evo so heavy? Does it have to be to meet min weight? I thought they could be much lighter.
Speaking from experience, a 450whp, 2840 lb Evo is very fun. I gotta imagine a lighter one would be even better!
Wish I was going to Lincoln, but life is in the way this year.

I'm with you. Just picked up my evo in December and have been having fun with it all year. I did a tour and a pro this year and fell about were expected for my prep level (and skillz ). I have the benefit of running with people like PJ Corrales and David White in the SM 240 and comparing to a BSP class filled with people like Corey Ridgick, Cy Lee, and Mike Fineberg... all of which make the trek to Nationals on a regular basis and do well.
