2011 scca nationals
Here is some live coverage of the event if anyone is interested. http://www.speedcasttv.com/scca/#/races/253
Marty Grand is trying for a repeat of his National Champoinship in T2. Not sure if we have any other EVO's running? How about a good STO car? (big $ required but i think you could put something together)

Marty looking good on the grid in 4th place! The Ford Mustang's are 1st and 3rd. Ford supports the Mustang drivers with thousands in cash awards, so they have a bit extra motivation!

Marty repeats as T2 National Champion!!!!!
The track was slightly wet at the beginning of the race. Marty started 4th and was the only one to opt to go out on rain tires. He quickly moved into 1st on the slightly wet track but as the track developed a dry line, the mustang ran away from the field and Marty dropped back to 5th place. The on lap 6 the rain started to come down and arty was able to get back into 3rd place and started to reel the Mustang back in. Around lap 8 the skies opened up like mad and it got so bad that most of the people on slicks that hadn't already spun off track opted to just pull into pit and forgo the rest of the race. Marty ran away with the race and took the checkered flag under full course caution. It was a masterful strategy!

Wow, that is definitely an unusual one, thanks for the info.
It was hilarious listening to the commentary team talking about that fluid coming from a possible "turbo inlet pipe" failure. LOL

Unfortunate you didn't get podium. You were keeping those bimmers behind you. Great job! Not too often do you see coverage like this of an evo racing.
