I love track events in the rain. reminds me of ice racing.

it gets really tricky on tracks with old pavement. The race line becomes very slick so the grip becomes inconsistent. Keeps you on your toes.

Cool stuff! I've only done one session in the rain and it was pretty exciting. Everyone else was a moving pylon, and I just tried to keep off the armco.

Wow, looks like a paddle would have helped you! Was surprised how much you were sliding around although I've only been on road courses with a light to moderate rain coming down. Still got up to 120 mph on the back straight at Watkins Glen, left about double the stopping distance compared to dry though. Same thing happened though, almost no other cars were out. I always encourage people to get out on the track when it's wet because it really teaches you how well your car is balanced and can vary quite a bit based on the tires you have on the car along with how much tread depth is left.
