Did some searching, but didn't find anything specific to this piece:

Anyone have this set-up? Did you have to cut the tow hook? Install help would be appreciated. I won't be using plastic or whatever it is you see in that top picture, just steel washers, of course.

Any specific comments would be appreciated.
Glad those aren't plastic, someone would be having a bad day if they tried to tow 3,000+ lbs. with it if they were.

Any issues with using two bolts? Did you ever tow the car with it?

Its seemed pretty secure but if you really torque the bolts you will collapse the crash beam. You can see that in the photo above.

Watch your knees please

EDIT. You can see my hook in the thread above=)

I had a different hook - but same install location. Worked fine, actually just sold it.

My one on the back (Cusco) is more of a ankle-knocker actually...

I have one on Megatron coming from my EVO IX front bumper. I have only hit my shin on that joker once. Dang! It is a firm piece and it cracks me up when older people walk by and just stare at it.

Is it a Benen? Who installed it? Have any pictures to share?

Great idea. I've been on the search for a good solution. I'm in the process of building one very similar to the one the thread you are referencing. Its a slow process and kind of on the back burner right now, but I will add pictures once its complete.

I'm really curious of rear locations.

I really like your fold down style, a lot like the Porsches I work on

Yeah, for sure post up when complete. This thread should be compilation of all those different types of front & rear hooks

A proper rear hook is certainly a bit more obscure

BTW, my front hook is one of the go to Porsche hooks

I've got a renline folding hook and universal adapter I'm not going to be using. It's got the go pro mount on it too. It's the same one MinusPrevious is using. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks Smike, I saw your thread actually when I was searching for tow hooks.

That's a nice set-up. I also wondered about towing capacity when using two bolts.

Yes, my friend. It is Benen and Archie @ PSI in Tucson installed it for me. I will post up some pictures here shortly.

Forgot my calipers used to be red and match the tow hook.

Car looks good, dude.

I'm going to bet that's on the last set of holes, which is why it sticks out that far.

I'll probably just cut mine.
