I think I need more spring...
Lol yeah i sure do...
Current Setup:
STANCE XR single way adjustable coilovers with Swift springs 10K/12K (originally for street tires)
- set to about 1/4 soft in rear 3/4 stiff in front
Whiteline 24mm rear swaybar
Hoosier 285/30 A6s
Future Setup:
Whiteline 24mm rear sway
Whiteline 26mm front sway
Whiteline front/rear endlinks
Whiteline Caster Adjustment
STANCE XRs either 12k/14k or 14K/16K (needs re-valved)
Hoosier A6 285/30 or 315/30(not as likely yet)

Oh yeah. More front air also. I think the ideal spring rates are start at 800lb and end at 1000lb. Being SM, you really need to take advantage of the weight and aero allowances. They will help significantly.
How LONG are your springs? What might help is more droop travel.
My AST's had a ton of droop. So much that it was a pain to jack the car up sometimes! I always used the stock swaybars for the mostpart, but with the longer springs (+ tenders) the spring never came unseated nor did the tire ever leave the ground. This helps in the higher speed stuff!

Well based on your current setup that air pressure is too low. You really need to work on getting that weight down. You will find the top street prepared Evo's under the 3k mark. Mine is around 2930. And I have more to go. I think a SM could easily be in the high 2700's if not lower. (disclaimer: I realize there are weight minimums, just stating that weight is there to be lost within the rules.)
High 2700's would be expensive and tough to get to. Mid 2800's is more likely, and since min weight is 2820 with 2.0L it would be perfect. I haven't spent much money on weight loss (mainly the free stuff), I've added weight from all the aero and steam rollers, and I'm still under 3k.
