Its been years now since motorsports started adopting e85. Why haven't any race tracks started stocking corn fuel yet? And when can we expect them to?

Both of the larger drag strips in CO have it.

It would definitely make things a lot easier. I'm not looking forward to lugging jugs to the track.

Not enough people are on E85 to make it worth while. Unless its for time attack purposes where you're only doing a few laps, I also find it not worthwhile.

Agreed.

But for now I'll waste money on VP110.

I tend to try to have at least 40 gallons on hand for a full track day

+1. at the smaller tracks I burn 5-6 gallons per session and at larger tracks I burn 7-9 gallons per session. I usually carry about 40-45 gallons with plus the 1/3-1/2 a tank I arrive to the track with. The closest track I frequent is about 115 miles away. It would be nice to have a truck so I wouldn't have to carry so much fuel in my car, kind of scary to think about what would happen if I got rear ended with 20 gallons of e85 in my trunk Hopefully by next year i'll have a nice truck and trailer to haul my car and gear with

It's actually illegal to carry that much fuel in many states.

Yup, I'm bringing 40 gallons (+ whatever is in the car) for a weekend of TT. Hopefully that will be enough for short TT sessions.

Last time I went to the Track I took 45 gallons of e85, along with 4 wheels/tires, and I had a 4pt rollbar. Boy was that fun.

So what do you recommend carrying the fuel in? What works best?
