Slight bulge in tire - time to replace?
Hard to say because it depends on many factors. For instance, some tracks wear your tires more than others. Weather, driving style, and setup also play factors. I think you said this is your first time on an actual track, so you probably wont be driving all that fast for it to make much of a difference. Inspect your tires after each session so you can at least keep a mental log of how things are unfolding. When im racing i typically rotate for day 2, and sometimes flip them also.
Thanks guys! I appreciate the info!
I will have Scott, from Kaizen Tuning, there with me (as my instructor) so I'm sure I will ask him a thousand questions throughout the day, including this one as well!

Glad to hear you are replacing the tires. I have heard a lot in this thread about running the newer tires in the rear and what not. I would be careful about running tires with different tread thickness. If I were you and I was running two new tires with two older tires I would have the new tires shaved to match the tread thickness of the tires with wear. I agree with the rotating of the tires. Make a log book and record mileage. I would try and stay consistent with the rotations. Equal time front to rear. Good luck and have a blast on track.
Way to much over thinking in this thread!
I run plenty of mismatched tires. Also, Tire pressures can make the car feel different too. Is anyone really all that concerned if their tire pressures are alittle off?
What gets me is that you have been talked into buying 2 more tires when the tires you have are almost full tread. You would have been better off doing 2 track days for the cost of the tires and the difference its going to make.

I feel way more comfortable with 4 new tires anyways.
More tires are always good to have!
My experience with NT01's is that they actually get better when they get to the 4/32 depth. (like they come shaved) Even when you run them from full depth and have quite a few heat cycles on them.
