can't choose which wheels this weekend..

Hi guys,
I'm debating which wheels to run at autoX this weekend at sebring raceway. Class SM
choice #1
mr bbs with ventus v12 evo tires 245's
choice #2
18X9.5 fno1's with nt05's 275's

The only reason I would choose the bbs's is because they are so much lighter and respond quicker. The problem with the nto1's are that they're heavy as fawk and rub a little under hard cornering.

I'm sure I'll get much more grip with the nt05's. They'll also probably be tougher on the drivetrain. I've got a new awd tcase I'd like to keep for awhile.

The car is tuned to 355whp and has a good suspension set-up.

What would ya'll choose?

Thanks,
Damon

I have no idea why you would be worried about wheel weight, its such a minor thing compared to the gain of superior tires and greater width.

About breaking the T-case, Im still on my original t-case with ~300 runs per year, 285 tires, and 330-375hp (depending if Im driving or the fiance).

Ill be the 10th person here to say go for choice #2. More grip will be astronomically more important than wheel weight. This isnt drag racing where power rules all.

On a different note, how serious are the tires rubbing? That may be something you want to take care of before you prematurely destroy your tires.

PS: Chu, I find more power and more weight works best for that
