1.5way or not

Pulling the rear diff to replace the pinion bearings as they are starting to howl.
I already have the 12 plate from weir and it has been a nice improvement.

I was looking for feedback on a 1.5 way diff.
Car is exclusively track and autox.

I can see where it may really help in autox but am wondering if it might make the car overly sensitive on trailing throttle. I feel like I would like a little more rotation on lift at times just seeking some feedback from those who do regular track duty.

You should give Jon a ring over at TRE. I asked him about your question today and he had a few comments that you might want to pick his brain about...

so I guess everyone here is just running with a stock / upgraded posi.

The 12 plate was a big improvement over the OE US market swapped plate diff. I think a little more lock up on decel might benefit corner entry and mid corner correction, but don't want too much more.
I'm in the decision making phase diff is on the bench, pinion bearing is toast and will go out next week.

i have the TRE 1.5 rear diff. came with the car when i got it. i like it on track. car rotates nicely with throttle lift. a bit noisy with the clunking especially with the solid diff mounts that i have. i'll give you a ride eventually one of these days.

Thanks for that. I'm going to send it out Monday.
I felt like it might help the car rotate / TTO a little better.

I'll have to give you a ride...going Green w/ BB. Moving some weight around. The usual winter boredom stuff.

^ you go SD yet? You might have to with the fp green bb. Might get a lot of light throttle surge on track.
