Evo 8/9 surface mount rotors-RacingBrake

RacingBrake has a new option for 2pc.rotors. New hats designed for the 8/9 that use the surface mount McClaren type fasteners for the rotor ring like the setup on the X MR. The testing is finished and the first limited production run is being finished,so if there is any interest in this product, send me a pm and I will compile a list of people in the N.E. region and get it to RacingBrake. Pete

Weights?

They would have to be lighter than the Girodiscs to capture my interest, personally.

Cheaper and lighter than the regular RB's? Nice. No rears though and I already have some 2 piece fronts

I'm pretty happy with my DBA 5000 rotors, but it's nice to see new stuff still coming out for the CT9A.

RacingBrake has 2pc rear brakes for all the Evo's. The 9mr had RB (open slot) rear 2pc. rotors installed for years and they are still on the car for its current owner. And the RB 13" rear rotor / 4 pot caliper kit was also installed on the 9mr.

Changing out pads so here is a better pic. of the RacingBrake 2pc. surface mount rotor. Same rotor disc for the Evo 9 with a different hat.

Wouldn't that require him to modify his roll bar?

LoL, love the rollbar.

Peter - aren't the clips supposed to be on the inside of the rotor? Seems the hardware bolts installed backwards from typical 2 piece, even the RB site has them on the inside.
