I think this was the first official race weekend at Thompson since the repave. The track was somewhat of a disappointment for me, considering I drove 7 hours to get there. Was really hoping for another great Northeast track. Many describe it as an autox track with a long straight. It's still a good place for the locals. I wouldn't mind going again if it's only a couple hours drive. want to see what I can do in the Evo. Was driving my friends crx this weekend because my Evo is still at cbrd.

the asphalt broke up really bad over the weekend and will probably need a repave. not sure if it's because they didn't let it cure long enough or didn't put a good top coat down.

 

Yeah, I was really bummed about not making this event, but after seeing people's feedback on the course I'm not feeling so bad about not making it. I'm already registered for LRP though!

 

My evo probably won't be ready for lime rock in two weeks. But I might have another evo to run

 

the opinion of the layout seemed to change a little on sunday, the conditions however did not. word on the street is they are make repairs this week.

 

I really enjoyed it, being only 2.5 hrs away helps too. However if the asphalt isn't fixed, I'll skip the August event. This new set of ZIIs have to last me for awhile. Even if they do re-pave it next week, there are so many clubs booked, I don't see how it has enough time to set.
