Function First Evo racing at Lime Rock Park

I will be racing on July 4th at Lime Rock Park in the NASA Super Touring series. The Evolution Oci 8 is heading up to Function First Motorsports in Vermont for some cosmetic surgury, brake modification and suspension changes. Look for a better balanced package in a flat bottom car on the high speed Lime Rock course!
Two 4th place finishes last weekend at Thompson Speedway were competitive with best lap times separating the top four finishers by 3/10ths of a second. I hope the areodynamic package will enable us to see podium finishes next weekend at Lime Rock Park.

I can't believe racing?! We had changed front pads before the Thompson Sunday race. Everything looked allright but yesterday a good samaritan pointed to my front brakes and said you have a cracked rotor. No impossible..... yep we cracked both front AP j hook rotors. I believe after the race the pads were probably touching the rotors while waiting for tech Scales inspection. In the future you need to do 2 cool down laps after the checkered flag at Thompson..... There is no time to order new ones from AP or Coleman, so I am bringing up my old rotors stock calipers and new DTC pads ...gulp....another $300 set of pads!.... and we will have to change them Thursday morning at the track. That with a major brake pedal modification to give me more leverage on the masters, new stiffer rear springs and new larger splitter should make testing precarious! Hope it stays dry until were done. Friday could be wet and I have the new Continental series rain tires to use so if it rains we should have it easy???? Well as long as the motor holds out. It was smoking at Thompson and we did a compression check 125, 130, 130. 140. I hope it holds till the weekend is finished then its time to rebuild the motor.....Wish me luck!
