i have the cusco RS with TRE's hd side cover, sight glass, etc. It's very aggressive, and the MZ is more so. RS supposedly does more gradual lock up, all feel very aggressive to me.

If I could do it all over again, I'd probably get an OSG and send it all to Jon@TRE, if you've got some down time.

All, please keep in mind that I wasn't really looking for a certain shop. My mind had already been made up that I was going to use Shep. I have been dealing with Shep for years, dating back my 2G DSM days.. I have been emailing back and forth with Trevor from Shep for a little over a month, and was pretty much set on the MZ or RS for my setup. I spoke with Trevor over the phone at length the other day, and after going back and forth he said "Im not trying to talk you out of spending money with me, but with what you are trying to do you will need no more than the 12 plate upgrade and a rebuild with new HD side covers". This means that I will be spending less than half of what I expected to... This is customer service...

Please keep in mind the purpose of my decision. Low 500whp registered car. It is driven on the street some, but not often. It is auto crossed at least once a month, with HPDE/PDX duty 4 or 5 times a year and a TT or two a year as well..

The reasons behind my decision:

-The Cusco RS will handle around 500 whp but not much more than that..
-The Cusco MZ is a very harsh diff for street driving..
-The 12 plate is cheap, uses OEM parts, and has been holding 700 whp cars for years according to Shep...

Thanks all for the advice. I am happy to see so many happy customers with the 12 plate upgrade, regardless of where you got it from.. Im looking forward to getting my car back on all fours and back on track.....
