Well, the event is over & gutted for our Andy S / RS Motors & Boosted Films. Andy's car experienced a severe coolant issue & the head was damaged (see pic). Will have to wait for Paul to post up one of his narrations on YT of the issues. FB Vid does not post well here.
On the brighter side, 2 EvOs were still left competing. Derek Boyd (Pikes Peak car) in an EvO10 took 2nd in the Ulimited Class & Shawn Kresbach in an EvO 9 took 2nd in the Street Modified class
The CanJam Suby failed to finish the event but posted the fasted lap time ever at M1 Concourse (102.398)
Heres one of their live Vids summarizing all that went down. Would love to attend a weekend here at "The Speed Ring"
I know Andy posted about a wrist pin failure but it looks like they were having some detonation, ground strap is gone on that spark plug and CC also shows detonation.
Yeah, they were pushing coolant somewhere & were hoping a head gasket change would correct. When they lifted the head combustion chamber damage was found as well as the spark plug issue

This making me want to take my injectors to PRE to get cleaned and flow testing.
I've gotta say however, it seems like a very very flat course. Are there any elevation changes?
It is very flat. I haven't driven on it myself but I know a few guys who complain about the flatness. I think it adds a challenge factor to the course.
Looks like a fun event! Maybe next year I should plan to come out. Are the classing rules similar to Gridlife?

It's Gridlife classing minus Street class so just Unlimited, Track Modified, and Street Modified. The event is really for the big shops with Motovicity accounts to bring out their cars. It isn't really meant for fast grassroots time attackers.

Lots of privateers still bring their stuff out tho. **** I'm gonna try to make it next year, the chance to score a couple G's getting podium in a bracket class is super appealing.
