Would have to be some catastrophic financial hardship for me to consider selling my car. I'm sure it could fetch some good money but its legit a part of my life after 15yrs lol.

Also needs 3/4 repair, new roof, driver side door(skins), 3/4 skin, trunk, a loooot of stuff.
Yeah man! How did that turn out???

Meh. My close friends don't do track days any more, so I pretty much go by myself. It's fun, but not AS fun. The one or two friends I have that would go with me aren't really into it. One of them won't even ride along because she gets sick LOL
I'm the only one left who's into it, so may be time to let 'er go to someone that will put it to use.
I'm not happy, thinking about all the money I'll loose.

All the guys my age and older have moved one.. there are a FEW younger guys that are kinda getting into it, but I just don't have anything else in common with them, so can't relate. It kills me to have dust piling up on the Evo, so I'd really rather it go to someone who will actually use and enjoy it. My only local option is AutoX and you all know how I feel about that (local AX, not AX in general).

I'd give that thought some time to be sure! 90 minutes to a track isn't that far. I'm 39, moved to Tahoe 5 years ago (far far away from almost everyone I know!), Thunderhill and Sonoma are currently the only regularly open tracks closest to me and they are 3.5-4 hours towing if you don't hit any traffic (unlikely), I am overjoyed they are reopeninga track "only" 90 minutes away, and am building a track car, not a single one of my friends gives a **** about cars as far as racing goes. I still make new friends. You might not know how good you have it!

Uh this lol. Most of my friends moved on too, but I always make new ones AT the track. None of them live "near by" but that doesn't matter much to me. Then the Evo ...evolved...into more of a project/distraction from the fam and daily life. If I had just a ZL1 or some other car it wouldn't be a project so I'd have nothing to play with nights/weekends. Getting TO the track then became the reward for all of that work and the fam started participating eventually. So the Evo became the campfire per say, kinda like the Beast lol.

Been considering it for a year or two. I've been doing less and less track days. Only two in the past year or two. This definitely isn't something I'm doing all *****-nilly. I've been kinda obsessing with the decision since 2018 LOL

That's all part of the fun, yeah.. but the best part was my friends and I all caravaning to the track, staying the night before, having dinner together, etc. I still love track days, but then it's over and I come home. When we all went, we'd compare notes, tell stories, etc. That was all half the fun for me. Different strokes and what not.

I wouldn't sell ours for a dollar less than 30k as it sits. But then again no one wants it so who cares!
