Project Evo 9 MR-SE finally made it to the track

I haven’t posted much on here about what’s happened over the last year so I’ll give you guys the synopsis.
I purchased a Evo 9 SE that was prepped for track work from a friend but ended up loosing the car in an accident.
Then I picked up a Evo 9 MR-SE that was pretty trashed and over the last 9-10 months I’ve been working on restoring it and getting it ready for some track work.

If you’d like to see the whole journey I have it all documented in my YouTube channel, Justa2L. I would definitely appreciate a like and a follow. Not trying to be YouTube famous or rich but it would be nice if I can at least get a free set of tires lol.
This is the 1st outing with the car:

You 100% should not need a surge tank for your setup. What fuel pump are you running and is it hard wired? You're more than likely overrunning the siphon on the return line and it can't pull fuel correctly from the passenger side tank (which can also make the gauge read higher than it is). Usually drilling out the siphon slightly larger fixes it, lots of threads about it on here.

I’m running the Radium intank fuel pump hanger, lines, fuel filter, rail, FPR, feed as return.
The pump is not hardwired but I did beef up the wiring on the OEM hi/lo controller. It could definitely be something with my specific setup.
Although a lot of people seem to have issues in that section, maybe because is more of a compound left (2 left handers almost together).

Spoiler alert, I already did the surge tank and was able to turn hard laps down to the empty light 😄

I have all the radium bits minus the surge tank and still getting fuel starve which has gradually gotten worse over time. Im guessing their is something wrong with the crossover tube the siphon draws from. Going to drop the tank this winter and inspect all the bits to make sure nothing is degraded in the tank after a decade of ethanol in the tank.
