Is Mountain Mitsubishi a mod friendly dealership towards the Evo community?

Awesome! My stealership here in Olympia wouldn't let me touch the Evo. But at least I know theres a dealership around that will finally let me put on an Exhaust.

Would they consider a boost controller something to void the warranty over? As well as an flash? Maybe even a BOV? And a drop-in filter? Lol.

^^ Why don't you just call and ask? I know Walker's Renton was pretty straight up about it I don't see why Mountain wouldn't be .

I just got off the phone with Mountain Mitsubishi and I found out that they don't mind if you have mods, Just if there needs to be any warranty work done, They can't do any warranty work until a Mitsubishi Rep person takes a look at your car and determines if warranty work can be performed on your car.

Looks like I will get my exhaust this weekend and keep the stocker just in case.

Yeah, I didn't like my stealership very much... They pretty much said "Once you pop your hood open, You void your warranty." Not in those words, But you get the point.

When I talked to the guy on the phone, He said they get quite a few Evo's with mods on them and he doesn't mind, Since it's up the the Mitsubishi Reps to determine if warranty work can be done on your vehicle if something seemed to be of the the norm, But they wont necessarily VOID you're warranty, They'll just see if warranty work can be preformed.

I'm just debating whether or not I should get a MBC and a tune now to go along with my exhaust I'm about to put on this weekend...

For intake, Am I only limited to a Drop-In filter? I hear that any piping could mess with the MAF, Thus [potentially] voiding your warranty?

So I called Mountain Mitsubishi after I got a call from some guy telling me my brand new just of the dealership Evo not even 350 miles IX is past my warranty. Telling me for 1200 I can get one just like I was getting from Mitsubishi. It turned out to be bull **** and Sean was very pissed that I got that call and was about to wage war on that mother ****er that called and harassed their customer. I asked about mods and how they void warranty. He did tell me there is a site called Works or something like that that offers 1000s of mods that will not void warranty. I cant for the life of me find the site so I will be calling back for it again but it may be worth checking out...
