I Need Body Shop Help.....Car Fell Off Jack Stands
Well,
The title says it all. I was jacking up the car today to take the wheels off to clean the wheel wells, brake calipers, and wheels for the cruise tomorrow and the car fell off the jacket stands. Totally my fault, thats not the point. I need help repairing the driver side rear lower side skirt area. The pics will tell the story. I really don't want to have to weld a new panel on in that area, I was hoping some hammering, pulling, little welding to fill the hole may do. Remember, this is the area behind the lower rocker panel so it doesn't have to be perfect, just as long as I can get the stupid lower panel back on without any sign of damage (because it will all be covered). But again, I no car body guy.
Who would ya'll recommned? I can leave my car with whoever during the week considering I'm in Houston all week.
Also, I was planning on buying an exhaust this weekend, looks like I will have to wait a while. THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, I will be out of the cruise.

guy's name is huu...817-276-9181.
i can say the job is an 8.5-9/10. he's located in arlington. tell him reggie with the blue evo x gave you the number and recommended him. he might be able to hook you up. he's done body work on both my evo viii and evo x. for the price he charges i think it's a great deal.

Well I went to Don Hering just to get an estimate and it came back around 1700 bucks. They use Service King in Irving for all their body work stuff. I've had good experiences with Service King before so I went ahead and filed on my insurance and the car is in the shop. Should have it back by this Friday.
my buddy owns a place in carrollton. he resprayed my front lip for just 150, which is good for pearl paint.
its called jacks paint and body. talk to john murphy or richard murphy, the owner is jack murphy.

^=== maybe paint.
Devo said that the painting was good from Service King on I-20/360, but the body work they do there is terrible.
I had a VW that had front end damage, and I had to take it back 3 times before they finally got it fixed to where it wasn't noticeable. Noticeable and me being happy with it are two different things. I was never happy with the work on the car, despite the fact they had it for over a month. Now, during that month, they had parts on backorder, but the work was shoddy.
I wouldn't recommend them for bodywork. They are probably OK for paint work.

i had to take it back for 'more' paint!!!!
they gave it to me the first time and it just needed another coat or two...it was not a consistent coverage across the lid...
the head service writer was Very cooperative and saw it immediately,
but my service writer gave me a jab for being too picky when i picked it up the 2nd and last time...
seems like a lot of work as well as service these days is done to the customer's expertise/non-expertise (ie cutting corners)
and not to the expert's eye or experience
the jacks paint and body is great, if you tell them you know me and your deductible is around 250, the'll usually roll the price of the deductible into the cost of the repairs so you pay nothing out of pocket
when i ran up on a curb on my cobra and cracked some fiberglass on my cobra, he fixed it for free
im taking my front lip to him next week to have it resprayed for 150(like i said before) killer deal for the paint we have man
