NTEC Fall Cruise.
NTEC Fall Cruise.
So, like I said at the meet, this is the route we took with the DSM guys.

We took some detours here and there so it was a bit longer than 1.5 hrs. Great fun. Roads were nice and twisty, plenty of straights and very few cops(1 through the whole route). We can take this route or you guys can chime in on some locations and I'll take the route to check it out. On this route we were close to the Oklahoma border at one point.
I know its football season so here is this seasons schedule for reference:
Sun, Sept 13 @ Tampa Bay (FOX)
Sun, Sept 20 NEW YORK GIANTS (NBC) Sponsored by MILLER
Mon, Sept 28 CAROLINA (ESPN, TXA 21) Sponsored by FORD
Sun, Oct 4 @ Denver (FOX)
Sun, Oct 11 @ Kansas City (FOX)
Sun, Oct 25 ATLANTA (FOX) Sponsored by BANK OF AMERICA
Sun, Nov 1 SEATTLE (FOX)
Sun, Nov 8 @ Philadelphia (NBC)
Sun, Nov 15 @ Green Bay (FOX)
Sun, Nov 22 WASHINGTON (FOX) Sponsored by PEPSI
Thurs, Nov 26 OAKLAND (CBS)
Sun, Dec 6 @ New York Giants (FOX)
Sun, Dec 13 SAN DIEGO (CBS) Sponsored by DR PEPPER
Sat, Dec 19 @ New Orleans (NFLN, TXA 21)
Sun, Dec 27 @ Washington (NBC)
Sun, Jan 3 PHILADELPHIA (FOX) Sponsored by UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX
I was thinking November 8. Game is at 7:15 PM. We can start the route early, say NOON. We can drive the route, stop for photo ops and bathroom breaks or whatever. After the drive we can go back down to Dallas or FT Worth to watch the game, have dinner, and down a few beers at a sports bar or restaurant. Route will have gas breaks but E85 guys will have to bring their own fuel as E85 fuel points are few and far between.
So, thats the plan for now. Any guys that have driven different routes, please, please, please let me know. The above route is just a place holder if/when I/we find a better one. The monthly meets are great with all the guys comin out so attendance shouldnt be a problem. (right?).
Discuss.

TxEvo8 - I apreciate the help. We can meet up sometime this weekend or Tuesday next week as a couple of NTEC guys go up to Fox and hound. In downtown ft. Worth.
Remember guys the above map is just for reference. The actual route will differ greatly when weset theroute in stone.
E85 guys, when I took the route I didn't see any E85 stations. I think I remember seeing laramie strap down a few cans of it inhis trunk so that's pprobably what you guys will have to do.
Txevo8 and Devo let me know when you are free to meet up. I'm usually good to do anything in the evenings.

In for this.
Isn't there any Kroger around up that way? I believe there is one in Denton that has E85, could stop to fuel up there.
I suggest a Twin Peaks (the one in Frisco is money, believe there is one in Lewesville also) to watch the game, there will be no disappointments!

Looks like this might go well.
This route is somewhere near 100miles but I can make it longer if you so desire. :P
This is what I like to hear. We can make it longer by going westbound at St. Jo to increase the lenght, maybe even dip into Oklahoma for a few miles. Ill be working an event at ECR the 3rd and 4th next month so ill take a lengthened route to check it out. And just so you guys who've never been to ECR, its on the map where Slidell is.
I like where this is going. I'm very excited for this.
