I won

I won an 09 Chevy Cobalt in a Co-worker's church raffle. It is a blue 4dr with an auto. I haven't seen it yet. I will be driving out to Kauffman to get it. I have really never won anything before. Do scratch offs count? If so then I won $12 once.

My plan is to sell it. I will be donating money to his church and paying down some debt. Best $5 I ever spent.

Laramie

PS. It is like a won the lottery at work. 60 something techs and they all want to stop and talk about it. I have not touched a wrench today.

PSS. Well after paying the gift tax I have a car for $50 all taxes paid.

Congrats!

A lot of the times they will let you take a cash option instead of the car.

Don't forget to save 40% for taxes... a friend won a minivan a few years ago and took the cash option. He spent it all (on a boat ) and then had to sell the boat the next year to pay the taxes on the minivan.

The church has paid the taxes. I just need the register it in my name.

Hey Josh(666 EVO) .50 cal target practice at the NTEC picnic or dirt rally car? See how many times we can crash it till it stops running then start shooting? JK but that would be fun as hell.

I might have to check into that. I am going to see if anyone wants to buy it at work.

ehh, you would be far better off selling the cobalt and keeping the evo then buying a c63. even with your discount, i think the depreciation of high end cars would absolutely kill you. now buying a used c63 from someone who has already taken the hit, there you go!
