Got My First ticket in the Evo X....

Well I got my first ticket in the Evo last week. Violation of front windows for tint. I have limo tint all the way around on my car.

I was literally a block away from my Dads house in Garland, I got pulled over from an unmarked car. He immediately told me to roll up my window (cause I rolled in down when he pulled me over). He put his little tint meter on the window and wrote me a ticket. I think the cop was bored.

Every car I have had for the past 15 years has had limo tint all the way around. Finally, I get a ticket over it.

I have already removed the tint and will be sending pics to the court in hopes to get it dismissed. We will see.

Yea, I had that happen to me in CA. I just decided to get 35% for every car I own. Haven't been bothered since.

I drive next to cops all the time here in Desoto, never had a problem. I think the Garland cops are just hard a$$es.

Make lots of pics with your car with no tint, and you'll have a stash you can use to get out of them in the future.

what i do is roll the windows down and pull the fuse to the window..when he asks you tell him your window is broken and show him the button wont work, theres nothing illegal about your windows not working, and that way he cant prove it.

i used to do this with my cobra, i got legalish tint on the front so they dont bother me now

cops will pull you over for the most stupid things in your evo,
should be aware of it in the future

i got pulled over for leaving out the back side of the 24 hour fitness
after i worked out

&&

i drove to houston sped the way their because i was late and didn't get pulled over, and on the way home i went the speed limit and got pulled over twice because of my tint, but he let me go because i wasn't from around their! silly guy cops! =)

&&

once i got pulled over for going over the red lines on the road! THEIR ARE NO RED LINES ON THE ROAD! their white!

Was it Garland PD or a Dallas County constable? I had a county guy pull me over in Jan for tint.

Well you've been way too lucky. Tint like that has been illegal in all 48 states for at least 40 years.
