Anyone know a good paint shop?
Road debris damage
Was on I-75 at about 3:45pm Monday and was hit by road debris, which looked like a flat silvery steel plate that was spinning fast and bouncing on the road. In the split-second I had to analyze it's random motion, tried to avoid it completly, but was unsuccessful.
Thus...
(My apologies if the pics are a bit off-focus. It's cold out and the 2-sec exposure is not making it any easier.)

Passed by the body shop where I had my old MB worked on to assess the damage. The CF spoiler is irrepairable and has to be replaced. Entire front bumper has to be replainted, which is understandable. Estimated cost is $370 -- this is me brining just the bumper sans grill, CF spoiler and the rest of the car. 2-days turnaround time.
I can probably source another Ralliart CF spoiler for the same price I got this one, I hope.
It's merely cosmetic, I know. I'm trying to think it could have been worse, say, blew-through the grill and punctured the radiator, disabling the vehicle. But still, it's very upsetting.
Can anyone recommend a good paint shop in the area which can better the estimate I got? $370 just sounds a bit steep for the job.

but Im interested I have a 9 bumper :-)
You can PM TNT1106 on here, he does paint and body work for most everyone in the club, but you have to sweet talk him :-)
370 is very reasonable if they are removing , repairing , and repainting an entire bumper..
Where I work they would charge around 500 to do that type repair.
However PM me for my # and I may have a better solution for you. Possibly a fix for the lip as well, I would need to see it to be certain.
