DI Drag Day...

http://www.dallasimports.net/forums/...ic=137112&st=0

figure i would cross post it....we need to get Josh to enter this in his yellow car w/ slicks...it would be unreasonably unfair but fun none the less.

also im sure its open to who ever wants to join DI and go for it..

I didn't see the original thread but it sounds like there was vendor advertising against EvoM rules in the original post. I told Runt to go ahead and repost w/o non-EvoM vendor sponsorship info.

if josh enters, he cant run slicks, the 4g63 class and rwd vs awd class cant have slicks.. must be stock appearing tires

That's stupid, who's going to run their rwd car without slicks.

4G Vs. EJ is a Street tire class but in the AWD/RWD class 4CYL regardless of their drivetrain setup can run slicks. So if there is an EVO on slicks he can run in that class w/ slicks unless he swapped in a v6

We wanted to make the classes competitive people like fast cars sure, but I'd rather see a quick car in a close race. If we allowed slicks in the 4G class we would have 3 low 6 second cars running a bunch of 7 second cars which let's be honest who wants to watch a race when you know the outcome?

So we made it where we will have a lot of close races with quick cars in that class. If you run a 9 or faster I would highly suggest the unlimited class as it will probably be the best competition for your and the biggest payout.

Actually it has nothing to do with the drivetrain whether slicks are allowed or not, it's motor size.

4CYL AWD or RWD can run slicks

6CYL and Rotaries may not.

V8's definitely not and to level it even more they can not have power adders.

I hope this clears up things.

This is correct it must be factory appearing meaning diagonal tread.

Those others won't pass inspection if you drive for more than 100 miles on them so they are not legal in the 4G/EJ class.

i'm sure josh will be running 9's. other then that there aren't many dedicated drag cars like that.
