advice needed
The timing cover comes off fairly easy except for the water pump pulley. I would try to remove all of the bolts on the cover to give enough space to pull the cover at the bottom, if the bolt is resting on it, it will fall out. You can also pull the crank pulley to give yourself a little extra room.
Well I can honestly say that was one of the most frustrating projects yet! The water pump pulleys suuuuuuuuck! Aside from shear frustration I am pleasantly surprised with the out come. Found the bolt along with an extra washer. Everything looked just perfect, belts and gears. Timing was spot on, yet with a cringe I started it. It didn't immediately self implode to my satisfaction! I took it out for a run around town to see if everything was ok. So far so good I beat the **** out of it. I think if it was going to let go it would have. I can assure you the modded Mustang GT that tried to be cute sure wishes something would have happened =) Thanks for all the help guys and pm's..
