I found at HHR that I could run as long as I wanted in Sport mode, and would not overheat the transmission. When I went to S-Sport, though, it would overheat in about 13-14 minutes.

I think while in Super Sport mode the tranny shifts too much as opposed to sport mode. Which may be a factor in the over heating. Mathew, do you still have the fog lights on your car? If so, taking them off should help. I think the total price for the JDM fog delete kit from japanparts.com was around 150.00 bucks. They were delivered two weeks from the date I purchased them.

Andrew, the car does not have the fog lights.

Krisiun, if you do want the fog lights and any other stock items, come and get them. I have a huge bin full of them.

good to hear that the sst tranny doesn't overheat in sport mode. i guess you could switch to super sport if you want to do a hot lap and just switch back to sport during the other laps.

btw Krisiun, were you able to bring her home today?

check your weatherstrips for a good seal on your Denali...i have recently seen a few of them come to the dealer from the factory with water leaks/squeeking noise when driving due to bad weatherstrip seals and GM has released a bulletin for replacement

Well guys, it was a long afternoon at Don Herring. I actually took JJ's car out for a spin, talked some numbers, had to have Mike talk to Don twice. Needless to say there is a really nice GG IX for sale at Don Herring now.

I fell in love with the X after the first drive. Like I said before it will make its track debut on the 22nd. I am still debating on keeping the decals on the car. The funny thing is after driving an Evo for almost 4 years, driving home the X I got my first thumbs up from a random person, it was actually pretty funny.

I have a lot more decals I can give you, Cobb (matches the bronze already on the car), and some other random decals. But I will warn you, if you remove the decals, you WILL lose 50whp and 40 wtq.

Congrats on the purchase, I'll know you'll take care of her.

Isn't that tranny awesome! Wish my Denali had the same tranny.

I might make it out to the track event to watch the car in action.

I would love the Cobb decals. I had a great experience with them doing my clutch, and even got a PM from Kevin Heist offering any help or ability to answer questions about your car I may have.

BTW, I was talking with Leah about the first time we saw your car and how it changed my opinion on the X. I told her when we did the photo shoot at the airport that I wanted my X to look just like it. Kinda funny how things work out.

Glad I could help!

I work in downtown Ft. Worth, I could meet you somewhere to hand off the stickers. But it seems like your working the graveyard shift at the hospital, so let me know when your free to meet up.
