Tires?

Im looking for advice on Tires for the EVO X. Anyone actually replaced thier Advans with something else? There are dozens of times on the market that fit that car but Im wanting to hear some personal experiences.

I burned through 4-5 sets of street tires and a few sets of r-comps in 2 years owning the X. There's tons of info in the X forums about tires.

List what you're looking for in a tire and what you're willing to spend and we should be able to give you some good recommendations.

Im not track driving this car just street driving. Price isnt so much the issue as I think Im paying more for Advans name over thier function. I could be wrong.

unless you want Nittos. Then we have a different buy that's way cheaper than anywhere else.

The stock Advans are VERY good tires. Worth $200+? Questionable.

if the street is ur auto-x course like mine..go for some nitto nt555's..the newer compound is better int he water..and its not as soft as the invo's so it'll last u a little longer. i got 265/35/18 for 151 a piece so the price isnt bad either

Those tires in stock sizes list for over $240. I understand that you can get them cheaper, but I would still recommend the INVO's over the T1R's if it is mostly daily driven, and the NT05's if you plan on using it on the track more.

The NT05 is the hot tire to have now and with pricing (through PTP, they also offer other brands as well) at under $170, it is tough to justify the Toyo's. If you want you can even go with the NT555's for a longer lasting tire. Also, PTP won't scratch your rims and they are just all around nice guys.

If you are set on the Toyo's then go with H & H, evotom on the forums works there and has good pricing on Toyo's
