[DFW] Clear Blue Sky Rally prizes!

The Producer/Director of Multimedia Video for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is an entrant in the Clear Blue Sky Rally. He has kindly offered to bring some videos of the Thunderbirds, the F-35, and the F-22 for us to give away to some lucky entrants.

There is still plenty of time to sign up at tinyurl.com/CBS10msr !

See the flyer at www (dot) texasscca.org/rally.html .

Links are fine. I tried them both.

Anyone race in these events before? Might be worth checking out since it's pretty local.

It's not a race. It's for time weenies. You basically are given points by how well you follow the clues to the course and how close to time/speed you come into the finish.

Close, but no cigar. It's not timed, except if you get to the end after we have all gone home, you can't win. Speed is not a factor. We say a good rallyist in a bad car will beat a bad rallyist in a good car every time. However, the guy in the good car has more fun driving the country roads! So far we have 2 Ferraris, 1 Evo, 1 WRX, 2 Mercedes, 4 Mazdas, 2 Minis, 1 Porsche, 1 Infiniti, and 6 others registered. We expect about 40 cars to enter.

Subaru has won the SCCA National Rally "Manufacturer's Championship" for the past 4 years running, with most of the points coming from WRX's. Why don't more Evo's come out and challenge that? Our rally counts for points in the National Championship.
