SCCA Solo Event #1

I wanted to Congratulate some winners from this past weekend. We've become accustomed to Mark Berry winning FP every-time and he doesn't disappoint in the first event of the year but there were also some other Evo winners this past weekend.

BSP 1st Jon Wagner Evo IX
BSP 2nd Jeremy Foley Evo IX
BSP 3rd Jose Orihuela Evo X

FP 1st Mark Berry Evo VIII

STU 1st Mark Hill Evo IX

John Wagner had the fastest Street Prepared time
Mark Berry the fastest Prepared time
Mark Hill the fastest Touring Time

Congratulations to all of the winners from this weekend and I also want to recognize those who participated driving Mitsus

Larry Lenamon did an outstanding job coming in 3rd in his 02 Lancer in H stock a class ruled by Mini Coopers he was just a fraction of a second from being first.

Ross Shone brought his 2001 Eclipse out and turned in a respectable time in novice

It looks like it will be a fun year with Mitsus representing 4 different classes in the first event!

Good job, everyone.

I think I just might bump to Street Mod this year -- just so we can cover 4 classes.

Dude, you blew away all preconceptions about tire quality, price, and performance this weekend. Coming in 4th out of 10 running 400 wear rated tires, most of the competition were running Star Spec's and/or r-comps.

Good job on Saturday!

That is awesome, you guys. Congrats.

And I'm tring to join NASA TTA right now. So we should have some Evo domination across two racing styles. Haha.

Well thank you. It's all about giving up speed before the turn and keeping it as tight as possible to make the shortest line. Better tires means you don't have to slow down as much.
