Hey, be on the lookout for Ryan Gates. I read on the other Evo site that he has a special project GSR that he was going to unveil at SEMA...assuming it hasn't been posted yet.

I know it's a WW Evo X GSR. There's more to it than that. Looks like the unveil will be on 11/11/2011 though. Plenty of speculation about it being a RWD Evo or a Hybrid Evo. Have to wait to find out I guess.

I don't see how either one would be better than a built Evo X AWD, either of the speculated solutions seems like a waste of a car if he isn't going to either drift it or sell it as a drift car or maybe hypermile it? If it floats your boat go for it. I am more interested in what he did visually than performance wise. So far it looks like he just went American and put some Mustang vinyls down the rocker.

Actually, there are numerous reports it's a hybrid...fail.

Not necessarily. He plans to race with both cars. If it is in fact a hybrid, it will be interesting to see what all has been done to it and how it performs. I would never do the upgrade to mine but it would still be an interesting read nonetheless. Justin81 actually posted on that particular thread:

Yeah he said he will race the white car too. I haven't heard it was a hybrid though.

 

If it is a hybrid actually using the Evo X engine, it won't do much at all other than save money to operate!
