Will try Redline MT85 for my 6spd

My 6spd not happy with amsoil. Im going to try redline MT85 this time, if it isnt good as reviews, next one will be castrol syntorq.

Where you guys buy redline products? Any local shop carry them? Looks like ebay has best price around.
Im located in colony, Anyone want to order together? That save us few bucks. Looks like 6 spd needs only 2.5.

I've used Redline MT-90 on my subby. I use to have 3rd gear grind, after two weeks of swapping the fluids it went away, no more grind. Drove the car for another 100k and still nothing. Sold the car with 240,000km and still ran strong with no issues.

redline ftw

I just go ahead post here instead of make new ones.

Im having hard time taking off tranny fill bolts. I didnt touch drain yet. I tried liquid wrench and tq wrench, nothing really helping. Any advice?

Edit: got them off.

That is not the correct fluid for the 8/9 MR 6-speed; that fluid would be correct for the 8/9 GSR 5-speed. You need to either use the OEM DiaQueen or the Castrol stuff Mil.Spec sells.

Amsoil does not make the correct viscosity for any Mitsubishi transmission.

we use amsoil 75w90 in every clutch job we do. works perfect, including in the 9 sec drag cars, road race, autocross, everything. never had a problem with it.

being the "correct" viscosity doesn't necessarily make it better or worse.

Everyone has their own opinion, tranny fluid is very personal just like engine oil choice...

That said, I've run Redline in almost all the MT car I've owned in the last 10 years and love it, but that still doesn't make it the proper choice for a 8/9 MR 6-speed.

this is completely false what you are stating here.

Do you realize we sold over 500 qts of this tranny fluid last year alone just here in evom, and up to this date I can count with my left hand the amount of people that have issues, this indicates that the issues could be due to clutch not engaging properly, Previouse syncro issues or it may be the fluid in those very rare cases.

MTG Is a GL4 fluid

I don't know how you can say that Kevin's real life experience is an opinion,,, opinions are based on bs on someone's feelings or what they think is right based on some shallow experience.

Real life experience is based on error and trial, and any wise person should stay away from opinions and hang onto facts.

Amsoil is 75W-90; 75W-90 is not Mitsu's spec.
