What are your 2014 plans for your Evo?

I would say mine are pretty simple:
-get a lightweight 2-piece driveshaft (EvoD might have one in the works?)
-install my Eibach front anti-sway bar
-get new summer rubber come spring

Beyond parts, I'd say keep on racking up the miles and going on as many cruises as possible!

Yeah I was up at the dealership a couple weeks ago, they said you traded your GSR for SE.

What was the reason? What mods you got so far?

I plan on getting an intercooler this year, and hopefully my centercaps/adapters lol!

Hopefully will finish up my DD build.... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/al...-gsr-time.html

I've been lazy and not update the thread with more pics lol. Like injectors and saying that I will be grabbing the Akrapovic exhaust later on as well.

Good to hear on the intercooler!

Regarding the SE, are you talking to me or Aggie? If me..I still have only the GSR!

He's probably referring to Kris Tolliver aka Krisko He did trade in his GSR for a SE. The GSR was his first manual transmission and he didn't like it. Before the GSR, he had a Ralliart.

Love hearing people's build plans! 2014 will be a big year for My Shop Assist, EvoD, and me.

The main goal for my car is to take the overall win in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge. They have changed up the rules and should help me out. Check out all the details here http://ultimatestreetcarassociation.com/. And here is the Rules page for specifics. They are doing an event at Texas Motor Speedway so I expect to see several street/track Evo's out there.

I'm getting the ball rolling with lots of carbon fiber! Starting with the door panels. here is a pic of the first one. Bondo, primer, and painted black to be used as a plug for the mold.

We will also be making the center console out of carbon fiber.

Next are the seats. I'm getting another Recaro seat for the passenger side and then we are going to have them upholstered in gray black suede with green stitching. Should look really cool!

Then going to flock the dash. Already bought all the stuff in hopes of having it done this year, but that didn't happen.

EvoD will also be making intercoolers in 2014! These are tube and fin (much, MUCH lighter than bar and plate). We will be doing complete track testing (stock vs bar and plate vs ours) to make sure they can handle anything you can throw at it.

Wire tuck the engine bay. Long time coming and finally happening. I have already removed and sold my wiring harness.

I'm sure there will be dozens of more things we do to the car this year. You can follow the build thread here: My Shop Assist Evo

Building my motor for the upcoming NASA AZ TA and TT season. Can't decide between a built 2.0L or a 2.3L stroker.

Very cool! Trying to outdo Tom? Do you want to go drag racing or just a super fast street car?

Curious as to why you are porting the head? The head from the factory is really efficient. Have it flow benched before and after the porting and post up results. I'm curious to see if it makes any real difference.

Lastly, if you want a cage for actual safety, don't buy a bolt-in cage. Totally worthless and will punch right through the floor in a rollover. We have installed a back-half cage in a X and it turned out awesome! (Then the owner had us cut it out so he could sell the car. Couldn't even tell it ever had a cage.)
But, if you want a cage for looks, more power to you.

I'm from the MID-A and having a tuner car that is putting down under 500 wheel is running in the minors. I want to run with the big dogs, and also prove that the SST can be pushed farther. Way to much hate on us MR guys. I'm definitely going to drag it for sure along with a few other things. The best part is that I'm not sponsored by anyone and its all on my dime so I have no commitments to anyone but myself.

The cage isn't just for looks. We have run the AutoPower half cage in the MID-A for a long time and at the track and no one has ever had a rollover in the 8 years I have been racing nor have they ever had a issue with it of any kind. It has the add-on option to full cage so that's why I like it the most and if I totally strip the car and go full race only I like that option. Plus, I have a few friends that are Army welders and they do awesome conversion work.

Ported Heads - Most people don't do this mod. However, we'll see how it works in my favor. While the factory heads are great why stay factory when everything else is being upgraded?

2) Have Kevin put the 2.4 stroker motor in my car

3) Go

4) Then go race someone. ;-)
