Question slow in 4th?

Yesterday I was following my friend who has a stock 330i bmw.. we were on the highway and had a small running race. I pulled away from his car like nothing in 3rd, but when I shifted to 4th he started to pull away from me? I think my car is leaking boost under load in 4th. I have not modified a thing! Anyone know if this is normal,,, feels very slow in 4th.. CJ

Damn 4th in my car rocks lol, MBC, exhaust, SAFC problem solved. 4th is kinda lackluster stock but I don't think a 33oi should pull ya, definatley the M3 but not a 330i.

leaky bov... change blow off valve and youll notice a difference of smooth boost. I thought my 4th was pretty quick stock.
