Everyone told me Pepboys would do an OBD2 scan for free so I decided to stop by my local store...
I asked them if they could do it and first thing I was told was to come tomorrow. I said, I only needed the code and asked if I still need to come tomorrow. They're like - yes ... and 2 dudes looking at me, one saying $89.99. At first I thought he was joking and almost started laughing so I turn his way and see his face is dead serious. I was like (speechless for a second) and then turned said thanks and left
Funny bunch. I don't even wanna know how much they charging for oil change

Sasha,

Screw the poopboys, go to autozone, though they may not know what the code means, they'll let you know what it says.

Pep Boys (at least the ones near me) are staffed by what I would barely classify as humans. Sorry if any of you are or know these people. Not sorry that I might hurt your feelings...just sorry your know/are one of them.

I drive an extra 15 minutes just to go to Autozone...which at least has humans behind and in front of the counter.

Guy at AutoZone scanned my car for free, just so I could confirm it was the O2 sensor.

He warned me that my modifications might make the thing read "way off" but at least he did it.

Checker will actually lend out the OBDII tool in exchange for a credit card.

Pull the code yourself

Pepboy employee's are a bunch of kids and newbs that's not use to getting their hands dirty. I found a autozone near me, and found them to be much more knowledgable and I see them helping others installs stuff outside for some old folks which was cool.
