Farewell, NOLC
I sold the Evo this morning. Will certainly miss the car, and all the fun times with NOLC and LERSOC members.
As I may not stay in US for too much longer, I wanted to own an S2000 before I leave at the end of the year. I picked one up at Motorcars Honda in Cleveland Heights. It's an '00 model in Silverstone (Gunmetal) color. I was driving around this afternoon and I like it so far. It's a completely different experience - less brutal and more "personal" - the chassis communicates very well to driver imputs. It's slow compare to the Evo (or even stock WRX), but nevertheless more torquey than I expected. Due to its RWD platform, I eagerly look forward to some sideway action.
In case anyone is curious, I got $23,000 for trade-in. My Evo had 20,580 miles, and all mods are sold with the car (except SAFC and aftermarket CD player). I still have the Civic Hatch with me, so it's still up for sale.

Holy Moly that was fast! Jeez FOB, when you set your mind on something, that's it huh?
Well, after much consideration (I'm sure) you ended up with a sweet rig. Give me a ring so I can check it out. The rest of this week is fairly busy but maybe like Thurs. evening or so.
And, like LateSleeper said, anytime you feel the need for some serious ground pounding, no mess around, punish your mother-in-law, scare little kids, street vacuum cleaning terror on four wheels you know you can drive my sled anytime.

Sorry to see you go Karl, but have fun with the S2000. My brother has one, and I think they are great cars to drive. I almost got one, if it wasn't for the Cleveland winters. We need to get together a few times before you take off, like at QS&L car show on a Sunday. Are you going to the Lersco meet this month?
YOU WILL SADLY BE MISSED

That's sad to hear that you're leaving us Karl, but have fun at your new job. Maybe you're even gonna get an Evo 9 before anyone else ?
) You should stop by one of our NOLC meets before you leave. I'd let you drive my car, but I don't know if you can handle the power of an ES
