A few buddies and I are setting up what should be a good meet on memorial day. Open to all people/vehicles. We are trying to get a good turn out. Figured its something good to do on the day off. Let me know if you would be interested so we can get ideas of how many people are going. Bring food and whatever you'd like and we may be having a small grill too. many people should go there as we have been posting all over different forums like the vwvortex,srtforums,nasioc (subies), imprezawrxsti.com,gsr forums, honda forums, etc...

 

i would be but i i have to F ***ING work at cochuiate state park that day until 3:30 so if the meet is still going on after that im down to roll.

It's about 5 miles from RWU... not really 'near'. In other words, if you drove to RWU looking for the park, you may not find it right away. You have to drive through down town Bristol to get to it.

If coming from that direction tho (24S to 114), after the Topsides restaurant on the left after going through town, take the 1st left after topsides then your 1st right (about 3/4 mile) into the back entrance to the park.

At the circle, follow it 3/4 way around through the booth.

Directions:
Fastest route from Providence:
I-195 E to Exit 2 in MA. [Important, not Exit 2 in RI!]
Turn RIGHT at end of ramp, follow Rte 136 S for about 5-6 miles.
When you see Bristol Toyota on left, you know you're in Bristol.
Continue on 136 S, you'll see Stop & Shop supermarket on right.
Turn RIGHT at next light onto Gooding Ave. [Shell station & Brooks Pharmacy @ junction]
Go straight on Gooding to end.
Turn LEFT onto Rte 114 S.
Turn RIGHT @ next traffic light to park entrance.

Scenic route from Providence:
I-195 E to Exit 8 in RI.
Follow Rte 114 S, through Riverside, Barrington and Warren.
After getting into Bristol, go to 3rd traffic light. [Newport Creamery @ 2nd light.]
Turn RIGHT at that 3rd light to park entrance.

From Boston and SE MA:
Take Rte 24 S from Fall River towards Newport
Once in Fall River it's 24S to 195W to 24S again. When you get to 195, stay in the right lane. You have to drive on 195 for about 1/2 mi to get back onto the rest of 24. (It's not that bad).
After entering RI and crossing Sakonnet River bridge, take 2nd exit [just after weigh station/Roger Williams university Convention Ctr.].
Turn right at end of ramp and go straight at light onto Mount Hope Bridge [big suspension bridge]
After bridge, bear left and stay on Rte 114 N through Bristol center.
Look for TopSides restaurant on the left after going through town. Take the 1st LEFT after Topsides then your 1st RIGHT (about 3/4 mile) into the back entrance to the park.
At the circle, follow it 3/4 way around through the booth.
