I'm in the market for an exhaust for my 04 GSR, I wanted to go with a full TB but the only thing holding me back is how it will sound on the HW. I drive a lot of HW miles for work and have owned other cars with aftermarket exhausts and would like to have something more civilized for daily driving as the EVO get enough attention already.

Right now I'm leaning towards Buschur 3" w/ HF cat and Magnaflow muffler cause i've "heard" it doesn't sound that loud but someones deffination of loud is releative, which is why I'm open for suggestions. And would much rather hear other peoples cars then take someones word for it. Ideally I would like is to hear the exhaust system you have and how they actually sound under load on the HW in 5th gear between 2-4k.

I figure we could either setup a little GTG with us EVO owners, shot the crap about our cars and mods and then go for a crusie. Or if a GTG is not something you are interested in then I would be more then happy meet up with you so I could hear your exhaust... also if gas is a problem I would be willing to chip in some scratch for your troubles. Im located around the Lansdale area but like I said I do a lot of traveling so meeting someplace isn't a problem.

I got a dc sports downpipe that elimimates cat and an rnr catback with magnaflow muffler. I think it sounds just perfect, not to loud, and quiet when you need it to be( low throttle). Im in the bucks/northeast philly section, landsdale aint far at all.

 

yeah lets get something going...im definitely down. im in pottstown, not far from philly/king of prussia at all. if you want to get together soon, i would be down for that too. i have the HKS carbon-ti, my exhaust honestly is one of the quietest of them all, at least of the 8 evo friends i had when i was down in tucson...it sounds really good at WOT though, it does get alittle loud then. i drove from tucson to philly though and from tucson to san fransisco a couple of times already and had no exhaust noise issues at all. my buddy did in his acura, he couldnt take it and said that he could here his exhaust while he was sleeping at night. i on the other hand had no issues. where are you located in philly?? lets get together soon. lata.

 

I have the b&b downpipe, UR test pipe, and b&b catback, and it has a pretty low sound to it. I am not into loud exhausts, so this is the setup I went with. I work in king of prussia and I live in Birdsboro. Let me know, I am down to meet up.

 

Buschur 3" , test pipe and on HW around 3k rpm at 70 mph the sounds not too bad at all.. and been passing a 50 many times and it seem to be fine.. but dpends on where, what town ya in.. i got pulled over in hardford area but not my home area.. since i live in contery.. might explained abt living in contery so i dont know abt in city.. just wanted to give ya out the info..
