Given the pending forecast for Saturday, October 8, 2005, New England Dragway officials have made the nearly unprecedented decision to cancel in advance, all racing and activities for Saturday, October 8.

"We're very aware of the number of racers and spectators who have planned to be here for the Import Wars on Saturday," said Track manager Joe Lombardo. "Given that, the distance that many of them will travel, along with the definity of the incoming weather, we've made the decision to close on Saturday, the 8th and reschedule the entire event to Saturday, October 22."

New England Dragway will be closed on Saturday, October 8th. The final Toyo Tires/Town Fair Tires Import Wars, presented by the New England Dodge Dealers and Verizon Wireless, of the 2005 season will take place in its entirety, on Saturday, October 22nd.

The Cycles 128 Street Fighter race scheduled for Saturday, the 8th, will NOT be rescheduled. There are two remaining Street Fighter dates this season; Sunday, Oct. 16 and Sunday, Oct. 23.

The Test Session originally scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd has been cancelled. There will not be a test session that day. The Import Wars will be taking its place.

The two affected dates are now scheduled as follows:
Saturday, 10/8 - CLOSED (Imports Wars and Street Fighter cancelled)
Saturday, 10/22 - Import Wars; No open test session

Hey, i rescheduled my meet and cruise to the import wars too. So if anyone is interested, we are meeting at the Greendale Mall in Worcester and we are cruising up early. There should be a good group of cars.
