Totalled Evo on Rt. 1 in Attleboro, MA...
BTW guys thats my red Evo same exact thing happened in my accident but i wasnt driving my friend was. The Evo def. held up nice in the accident. (meaning the cockpit)
HOPKINTON -- Two local men were seriously injured last night when the car they were riding in ripped apart after hitting a rock wall along Interstate 495, not far from the West Main Street exit, according to state police.
Marc W. Gildersleeve, 22, of Milford, and Kevin C. David, 24, of Bellingham, were taken by ambulance to UMass Medical Center in Worcester following the 7:04 p.m. crash, according to Trooper Kara England.
Their conditions were not immediately available last night, but David was apparently not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, she said.
According to England, Gildersleeve was traveling south in a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer when it hit a rock wall in the median. The impact tore the car apart and propelled the engine across the highway where it hit a 2002 Mazda Protege driven by Candice J. Silva, 25, of Southbridge.
Silva’s heavily damaged car was towed but she was uninjured, England said.
State police are still investigating, but speed appears to be a factor in the crash, she said.
Traffic was slowed as police closed the left travel lane for about an hour. By 8 p.m., the road was clear, England said.

Thanks for the support everyone it means a real lot to my passanger and myself. I have seen some of the news reports and it is sooooo lame that they are claiming we were racing because we were not involved in any type of a race at all. Yes, I admitted that i was breaking the speed limit upon regaining concensnis(spelling??), but they say i was going 100mph!!! that is absolutly a complete guess on there part and certainly not true at all. The only other car i was traveling with was at least 40 yards ahead of me, and was not trying to do any form of racing at all. I simply accelerated to get out of the lane i was in because there was a vehicle i was coming up on and when i did so i completly lost control. No bodys fault but mine, and certainly not any form of a street race unless they claim i was trying to outrun my shadow. forum04pl, thanks for backing me up man i really appreciate it, and yea that is certainly not a place that anyone would want to be street racing at all.
I am glad you and your passenger are ok. I am more happy that the other two cars are ok. That really sucks bad for them. We curious minds do watch shows like csi to try and piece together the info to draw a conclusion. It is difficult to understand how one losses control on an interstate while moving over a lane and passing. That is why the TV show gives the answer key at the end. Anyway I truely am sorry for you and your loss, and am glad no one was killed in what your pictures look to be a very severe accident. Heal quickly, learn from your mistake and get back in the saddle.
Hey man i saw it on the news and called russ and he told me it was you. GLAD YOUR OK! get better soon and get back on your skate/snowboard!
