Thompson Raceway 6/28 (it's about time)
As long as it's not raining - or look like it could at any second - I will be there. One of you has to give me a ride first so I can see how to launch well. I've only been to the strip once in my life and it wasn't pretty
.
.
I'll be there around 5:30.
Thompson Forecast 06/28:
Showers this morning then scattered thunderstorms
developing during the afternoon hours. A few storms
may be severe. High 77F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Chance of rain 40%.

I predict a great day for smoking out the clutch....
This is my week so far:
* Lowered garage door on the car
* Lost gym ID
* Found gym ID after replacing supposedly lost gym ID
* Hair cut got messed up
* Left house/office keys in fiancee's car
* Left parking access card in other car
I'm on a roll!

I called Thompson a little bit ago, they said track conditions are fine and it will be open today for grudge racing as long as the weather holds up. They said the rain usually misses them.
Gates open at 5:00pm racing starts around 7:00pm.
FYI: They repaved the track this year so it's alot smoother with no incline and they are using a new "sticky" compound, so be careful with your launches. They apply less of it on Wednesdays and more on Saturdays, so we should be ok.

I replaced my stock clutch at about 37k. Replaced it with an ACT Street Clutch Kit which I only had on for a few thousand miles until my TC died and the dealer made me go back to stock clutch in order to approve my warrenty repairs. Which I gladly did, I actually bought a stock 04' clutch from an AMS car for about $150.
As soon as this stock clutch goes i'll be getting the ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit MB7-XTSS.

The stock STI clutch feels very stout. I got wheel spin all the way through 1st gear with an aggressive launch. I think my stocker will last a while.
Too bad it rained. I think we did okay considering it's been a while since we have been to the drag strip.
Nice runs everyone.
