Lyme Rock 06-22 Thursday Cartct.com

This Thursday I am headding to Lyme Rock with ct autocross and rally team. We will have the track for the whole day and we will not share the track with any other clubs. I think it is about 40ppl. max. We get the whole track to our club and lyme rock provides corner workers so there is no need to work. The price is $240 and it is a deal! There are still some spots left. Let's race!

It will be fun. Think about it Lyme Rock a true race course not a half section or a shared course.

Hey, my cousin wants to do this event with his 03 M3. He has quite bit of experience on the track, he usually does PDA an EMRA. He runs about 1:03 at Lime Rock. Let me know who he can contact to sign up.

Wow, I was just saying he is an experience driver and not a newbie. I was not trying to say he is fast. Relax...I know 1:03 is not that quick, I been to Lime Rock quite a few times.

Oh by the way, I am pretty sure u did in ur spec Miata right, how much does that weight? How much does an M3 weights? At least when u are going to compare be reasonable. Look I seen an Evo do .59s there.

Yes your right a spec miata, 2300lbs, what does an M3 weigh 3400lbs? 1100 lbs 233 more hp, more tire, better suspension geometry, better brakes, hmmmm.

Again, not angry/whatever, just responding .

Saying 1.03 isn't "that fast" is sort of baseless without comparison. It happened to be FTD. For a street car i'd call it a good pace. The Miata is a nice track car so don't understate it's capabilities to demean the efforts of others running M3s.

Never said 103 isnt "that fast" just said its nothing special . Baseless without a comparison, what sort of comparison need I make? If 103 was FTD for any sort of contest at Lime Rock I would say it would of had to be composed of some slow cars.

Again not demeaning of the efforts, more than anything over emphasizing a Miata's abilities.

HA i used to work at limerock and id say youre all slow ive run a 110 in a sprinter van
in the stock neon sxts id pull 105s all day
get me out there in my stock evo and id show YOU how its done scorke 104 is nothing to brag about in a miata theres some fast miatas over there and some amazing drivers

also a fast lap in a formula ford which is an all out race car granted theyre gay
is around 54 seconds id say for a weeked racer 103 in the m3 was a faily good time

MOT you don't know what your talking about. Have you ever been timed around that track? Was it with a wrist watch or by a timing system? You might THINK you ahve run a 110 in a sprinter van, or 105's in a stock neon SXT but that is flatout B.S. by the cars you spoke about driving I am assuming you were a wrench for Skip Barber?

Show me where on this thread I was bragging about a 104, I just said it was what I run/have ran at Lime Rock, and show me all these fast miatas, the track record for Spec Miata is somewhere in the mid to low 103 range, so again you clearly are speaking out of your league.

Here is a link with a summary of times for a variance of classes at Lime Rock, http://www.comscc.com/records.htm .
Here is a link to a recent list of qualfiers in FF, 55 flat was the fastest they ran
http://www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=338217 .

If you want to know what classes the three letter things are on the left of the times I can fill you in.....if you want to compare those times to a road car.
