If those are stoptech rotors on the EVO then that orientation is correct according to the stoptech manual.. check out the cut away view of the cooling fins on page 14.. His brakes would have cooling issues if he installed them like you said

here are my stoptech rotors facing the same way as that EVO.. My brakes were NOT installed by DSG..

Your rotors are installed correctly, the evo is different, am I seeing things or are you off?

The outside (leading edge when traveling forward) is supposed to hit the pad first, on your Z it's correct, on the evo it is not, it's no big deal haha, but it's "wrong".

I saw that EVO II at BeaveRun time trials this past spring. It looks pretty unassuming in person.... then you see it on the track. It sounds like a pissed off Hoover that just sucked up a whole hornets nest in one gulp. It was positively SPANKING some of the very-heavily-tuned EVO VIIIs & IXs there.

Very, very cool.

The slots on the Evo are facing the wrong direction in my non professional opinion. The sweeping motion of the grooves are suppose to go from the outer edge of the rotor, top edge of slot making contact with pad then sweep and evacuating the air down and away from the contact point. If I had time to photoshop and plot with arrows I would do so but I hope what i said makes sense.

It's ok, I said it 6 times, showed him pictures from his own install manual, and he still thinks I'm wrong (He even installed them as I told him)

I would just like to add that i was down there today. Those pics DO NOT do that Z justice!!! That car is pure beautiful in person, first thing i noticed pulling up today. DSG does amazing work. I got to chill with Bill and Q both fun guys, both were great. Q worked on my car and was very precise, yet fast, and not letting up until every last detail small or large was finished. He was very knowledgeable. I wish i had more for them to install, It is well worth the 1hr 30min drive for me to get there, even stuck in traffic on 95 on the way back was worth it. I will be spending a lot of time there for future projects.
