Carbon Fiber Rear Badge Install...Pics!
Carbon Fiber Rear Badge Install...Pics!
Shaved the rear Mitsu domestic rice chrome badge and replaced it with a Carbon Fiber Mitsu badge...pics beneath with stepped instructions. Next the removal of the front badge...ugh that's going to be a project!
Before

Using painters tape, carefully outline the 3 diamond emblem so centering the new one is easy. (This also allows you to tape rags or newspapers around the area to ensure that the adhesive remover used in following steps does not get on paint outside of the working area.)

Using fishing line (or dental floss, whatevers handy) and your favorite adhesive remover clean and MAKE SURE working area is free of glue and is completely dry.

Center the new emblem and remove tape.

Step back and enjoy the new carbon fiber badge...but grimace knowing you have to wash your LBP IX MR

nice.
your car is dirty...should've done it when its clean to ensure a good stick of the adhesive
and what makes the stock chrome badge rice? every car company uses chrome badges. i know a lot of people who claim that carbon fiber is rice...ricers are the ones who use CF the most.

i know that you cleaned the area. but notice that your little spot looks a little retarded...could've been cleaned better if you did the whole car. also, if you were going to post it up, then it would look a lot better if everything was clean. lol
nice badge though

When you look at a car and there is not a spec of polished material aside from the badges I don't see the reasoning to put "chrome" plastic badges on a vehicle. I'd rather have badges that at least correspond to my interior trim. Call me a stickler but that's just personal preference.

...Also, wax was applied to the entire trunk lid after installation
But thank you for the reminder! Coulda been nice and ugly with a big spot of ugliness on there otherwise, lol.
