Im looking for some body that might now a shop that would make a ring and pinion for an evo tcase. Iv searched high and low and couldnt find anything, atleast not for the evo. I even called Mitsu NA and they wouldnt sell me the part they said i had to buy the whole tcase. All i need is the ring and pinion everything else in the tcase is in good form or can be easily fixed by any machine shop.

 

How about the guy on this forum that works at Walpoe Mitsu.? Geezzzz....senior moment. I'll try to research it and get you his name.

yeah i tried spins4 very nice guy but he was unable to help. they dont sell the ring and pinion seperate and there was nothing he could do. fog please let me know im in a real binding

 

Your best bet might be to contact a gear company like Richmond and see if they'll do it. They might need a minimum order, but I'm sure there would be enough interest. I don't know..maybe TRE or Shep already tried to have them produced to no avail. I know Jon has the bearings for the end of the carrier made by a bearing company.
I had to source a new carrier for mine...which also isn't sold seperate. You might need to buy a t-case that has "other" problems, but a good ring gear, for a cheap price. Someone on the forum that seems to have a decent amount of t-case/tranny parts is 94AWDcoupe.

 

Did you try TRE or Shep? They have a lot of cores and might have a spare one around.

 

yeah i tried shep and tre and they are not willing to sell the ring and pinion seperatly which blows 94awd doesnt have any i tried him. Looks like ill have to search for a beat tcase with a ok ring and pinion . does a 03 ring and pinion fit in a 05 with acd?

well i got a t case laying in my garge right now. bc i got new on in my ev0 8 then i sold the 8 and bough a evo 9 se. but i still got the t case. ik there is a problem with the case bc it was makeing really loud noises. but if u showed me a picture of the ring and pinion i might hve it in there and could sell that to u if u wanted. just pm-me

pierre, a 03-04 ring and pinion will fit your acd case... ill keep on the lookout as well
