I live in Suffolk county, Long Island and i've seen a few evo's around here. Blue, silver and black.
Mostly around the huntington area

anyone here?

 

I know of about 5 or so of us.. I have a black one, There's a guy in huntingon with a black one.. I've seen a silver one, on Hempstead Turnpike, and a yellow one on Deer Park Ave.. I know of a White one, and a Blue one also.. But haven't seen them yet.

I think I'm the only one who's not stock anymore though..

That's funny because I live in Huntington and have only seen one silver one off of Park Ave.! Where the hell are all you guys! It's pretty funny that we all live in the same town and I have only seen one.

flybyevo I still haven't gotten my EVO. Last time we spoke I had just taken the Suffolk County Police test. I just got back from vacation and I am ready to buy but may have to wait a month for 2fast2furious to settle down and the STI to come out. Honestly that movie might bring more attention to the car but it will just be from kids that can't afford it. I went to Subaru in Elwood and they will be getting STIs in a few weeks. By that time I will also be ensured that my company will be around for another 10 years so that is the main reason I am waiting. I can't wait though.

By the way have you guys been having any problems with your EVO like others on this forum have been saying?

 

Rare sightings indeed. I have only seen about 5 so far. My wife has seen just a couple.

When you are ready hopefully you can buy for under MSRP.

No trouble so far with 3,300 miles.

5 seems like a lot considering the how many are on the island.

I would love to know how many were sold on Long Island and how many they have sitting on the lot.

Like I told you last time I think I will be getting mine in Northern Jersey or Manhattan. Dealerships in the suburbs would rather sit on the car then sell it for MSRP or under. That's understandable but they are not selling due to the economy. Even the dealerships have admitted that most of the people that come in don't get approved for a loan or they are young kids with parents that won't cosign.

 

i saw the Silver on going north on Park ave before the tracks every morning on the way to work. I was going south at around 8:30am.

the last time i saw the black one was near my job (mercedes-benz huntington) it was going east on jericho and had temp plates.

anyway if you see a blue toyota matrix with eyelids flashing you, flash back it's me

 

Do you have a down payment on that blue EVO? Jeez you have to wait to December for it. What's up with that? Where did you buy it from and are you going to sell your matrix?

I live just above the Porsche dealership above a mile west of you. Man I wish they would finish paving Jericho!!!(I am tired of my ***** vibrating!) Another thing that sucks is that light by Park Ave. and Jericho always gets backed up all the way to the Mercedes dealership. Sorry just had to vent. Oh and another thing when are we going to have a freaken nice weekend!!! I am going through sun withdrawal!!!

 

Well, here's a standing invitation to come up to Deer Park Ave, Duncan Donuts.. My friends and I frequently hang out there and talk about cars and whatnot.. I'm actually curious to see how many EVO's I can get into one place.. I also want to see how many of us have modded our cars, or am I the only one crazy enough.. BTW, I have 5000 miles on mine now, and not a single problem..

The only thing I am really concerned about is the tranny issues. This will be my first manual transmission car and although I know how to drive stick I still have a lot to learn.

Friday nights after 9, saturday nights, same time.. Occasionally sunday after 7 or so.. It really depends on the weather for me.. I do have a life outside of my car so I'm not always there... hehe..

 

Oh and I think there are about 20 or so cars in total on Long Island.. Not sure how many are driven regularly though..

jericho tpk is killing me. My trix is lowered so it makes it even worse.
i know all about that light, i have to sit in it every morning when i go to OK gas station or drive a customer. And again when i go home.
the Sun... i'll be seeing plenty of that next week i'll be in florida.

 

would you guys mind if there's a toyota there? i really would like to see some evo's. set a day and time at D&D's.
