2003 Northeast Subaru Impreza Club Regional Meet - Connecticut

Parking: Parking will be under the bridge at Marcus Dairy. They own they property, and it will easily fit at least 150 cars there.

NOTICE: Because I was lucky enough to get some sponsorship at the last minute, this should prove to be much more successful than I thought. However, while these rules applied before, I am going to state them here and now. I 100% fully expect all of you to follow these very simple rules!

1.) ABSOLUTELY NO RACING OF ANY KIND!
2.) ABSOLUTELY NO BURN OUTS OR STUNTS!
3.) ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS!
4.) ABSOLUTELY NO LITTERING
5.) PLEASE RESPECT THE PROPERTY AND SURROUNDING AREA!

There will be police nearby and watching. If you are found to be racing, or pulling any stunts you will be immediately arrested.
Also, Marcus Dairy is having a car show at 5pm. Those guys will start showing up around 3:30. So they have asked we leave by 3pm.

Drive After Lunch?: Nope! No need unless we go somewhere after 3pm! If SpeedSport doesn't have a problem, I might caravan down there to check them out. Also, there is the commuter parking lot up the road which I was going to use as a last resort. That should as I understand hold most of the group! Also, there is a carnival going on in Danbury by the mall, so if you guys want to check that out, you can!

Equipment: If you can, PLEASE bring your FRS Radio! It will greatly help at this meet. Channel for this meet will be 5. It is not mandatory, but they're only $8 at Wal-Mart if you don't have one... It's well worth having. It will make this meet go much smoother and more fun for everyone.

Name Tags: I have name tag stickers. I'll be giving these to everyone at the pre-meet, and as people arrive for the meet at noon. I'll be keeping them with me, and some by my car at the meet.

PRE-MEET INFO: Since we have 10am to 3pm at Marcus Dairy, the pre-meet at the mall isn't needed. I will probably scout out that area a little to make sure anyone not checking the board for updates end up going to the Mall pre-meet.

Big special thanks to Mitch at SpeedSport. Thank you very much for your help! You and Jay both have made this final detail possible, and taken a chunk of stress I've had on last minute planning.

Also a big special thanks to Steve at Marcus Dairy. I appreciate you allowing us to use your property to host this. I promise to do my best to make sure there is no racing, or anything that would cause trouble. While I've had no intention on racing or the sort happening, I hope you know I intend to treat the area with respect as I normally would. I will emphasize to people there to do the same.

Thank you to each of you for helping out this last minute detail, which for the most part is one of the most important details! When planning for the 2004 meet, I will certainly be looking to you guys for some help!

Sure, I don't see why not!
The Subaru guys are pretty friendly!
I was up at a dinner meet in Mass just recently... A Mustang, SRT-4, either a Civic or an Accord and Mini Cooper S were there as well.

I figure if I can throw something different into the mix, why not!

Also working in some other things for the day as well.
Right now, I'm putting together a drive. For you guys who know a little something special about Lime Rock... hehe, I'm working on something up there right now!

Anywaym everyone is welcome! Would love to see an Evolution or two though!

Also on an added note, the meet was renamed! No longer just "a meet in Danbury!" It's now The 2003 Northeast Subaru Impreza Club Regional Meet. Again though, everyone is welcome to come along! Just post, so I know how many people from here are going!

Ill probably show up. I own a OZ with a **** load of JDM spec stuff done to it. I would love to run with a few Rex's and chill out and talk about Rallying and our rides and what not. Another question....where at the mall r u guys gonna be? And what time?

Sir Lancelot, You're welcome to meet up with the group at noon when we go over to Marcus Dairy for lunch, or if you want to hang out before lunch, there will be a pre meet at 10am at the mall. On the side where Strawberries is. You can apparently easily see this from the mall. I'll be showing up at 10, or a little before. If you want to bring your crew, please do! I know I stated, on the topic, 'invitation to Evo VIII owners', but actually everyone is invited!

M3rcer, if you can make it up, do it! More people the better! Just so I know though, how many people including yourself are in the group?


Just so you all know, this is going to be a HUGE meet! Including myself, there are 59 people from the Subaru boards (NASIOC, ClubWRX, i-Club, and WRXFanatics) coming. I'm expecting anywhere from 10 to 20 more will jump in by the time this meet happens!

Glad to see some EVO guys should be coming!

I held a meet at Six Flags today, and just yesterday one the WRX guys decided to trade his WRX in for a EVO (a black EVO at that!). So, brand new as of yesterday, I got to see one close up for for the second time! And not have to worry about some **** sales person coming out screaming at me to stay as far away from it as possible.

Anyway, hope to see some more people jump in on this meet. Should be a pretty good turn out. Talk to a couple of guys and mentioned I invited you guys. So, they're also hoping to see some people from here!

Snir, there are only 2 colors of the EVO I would ever get... A black one or a white one. Completely awesome car. The EVO is what really got me into cars. I had my eyes set on getting an EVO, not a WRX. I ended up getting a WRX though, and I have no regrets. If the EVO ever went back to looking like the IV or V... And had AYC and ACD, etc... My WRX would be traded in so fast, that time would have catch up with me.

Anyway, glad you had fun at SixFlags I'm glad we managed to stick together as a group! I had a great time, and wow... Superman was awesome! Glad I felt obligated to get on the rollercoasters!


Anyways! Back to drooling all over myself!

 

i agree about the V and VI part but what can you do, we are stuck with 8

i will let you know if i am coming to this meet or not.
