its official, picked up my IX

i had a lot of questions when i had the thought of trading my Lightning for an evo.
this forum helped quite a bit. so yesterday i made the trade and drove my GG IX with SSL home..

the car feels great. it has 17k on it for miles, and the dealer put on new tires, and brakes all the way around for me. im sad to see my truck go, but i couldnt have traded it for a better vehicle.. and even though this thing is stock, and has less than half the displacement of my truck it pulls suprising well when you get the revs over 3500.. its a great feeling when that turbo starts spooling.

so anyhow, im looking forward to hanging out more in these forums and learning about this great vehicle.

thanks

yeah, im thinking (based on what ive read) that a test pipe, down pipe, mbc, and tune should net me some good gains. i actually like the quiet stock exhaust and ideally id like to keep it that way.. i dont really know much about these cars at this point, but like anything i get my hands on i learn about them almost to the point of obsession. so im sure it wont be long til i have a firm grasp on what i will need for it.. for now, ill leave it alone because once the mod bug bites its hard to stop. but ideally id just like to make it a reliable 12.0 second in the 1/4 mile daily driver. ive been a motorcycle road racer for a number of years and i actually wouldnt mind taking this on some of the road courses i race on, but its not a priority for me.

Lots of reliable 12 sec Evos on these boards so you shouldn't have too hard of a time getting there with a good tune and parts. Congrats and welcome aboard
