Speaking of which....Bill, about 2 months ago I installed a cabin filter in my VIII. I cut the area out of teh air box and installed it with the arrow facing up like I was told to. Well, I still get a bunch of dust blowing through the vents from time to time. Is this normal?

I know I do. It's terrible. But seeing sense I am getting no serious buyers, and some of my priorities have changed as of late (like finding a place with the gf), and along with deciding to see what the next model year brings (like possibly better rims, or maybe a sunroof), I figured I might as well just go back to my original goal (at least 400whp on stock turbo). And the fact that I am "only" about 25whp shy of doing so, why stop now, right? Doing so, maybe then it will keep me happy for a little while .

Oh, and I just PM'd on the cabin filter.

Truthfully, this is the first I am hearing of this. What is this "mod" you are talking about? I know my car does not have a cabin filter, so I don't really know the pros and cons or characteristics of them.

Well, I didn;t really mod anything. There is a bulletin to add this to the Lancers that are not equipped. When you remove the glovebox door you can access the heater box assembly. There is a "door" that you can cut out and fit the factory cabin filter in, and screw it into place. This helps eliminate odor and dust. It was an easy install with no modification.
