Worcester/Boston Social Thread
At this point, that is what I am saying. The Jetta was fun and all, but thank's to my girls scumbag ex hubby, she pretty much kissed away the money it was going to cost for her to get it registered ($575!). So I said screw it... I had about $2800 into it (counting all the fixes, car itself, foolish tows)...put it up for sale for $4500obo, and see what happens.
Fast forward to today. Younger kid, just came with his dad and bro, fell in love, and handed over a certified bank check for $4k

Now the plan is to find her a Civic in the $2k-$2.5k range, and put the rest towards a place together (hopefully with a garage).

Oh I know. But sometimes they are out there. Just need to find the right people. Most importantly, when you have cash in hand, a $3k car can dramatically drop sometimes to a $2500 car.
I wish I still had the Civic I used to have. I still don't know what I was thinking when I traded it for a 1g. It was a 1996 Civic EX 2dr, Cali car, so not so much a spec of rust, 5spd., power everything, moonroof, intake, exhaust, halo lights, lowered, black 16" rims, was that gay teal color, but the previous owner had it changed to a much nicer, darker version of it, aftermarket clutch, indiglo gauges, etc etc...and I scored that for $2500. Damn I miss that car
